Comments: This is pretty cool site you've got running here. Another site you might want to check out is the netbook of classes site for more class ideas for gaming. I don't know the URL but you can access it through DNDAdventures.com by clicking the classes section, going to the netbook of races, and selecting netbook of classes from there(the hyperlink to the netbook of classes doesn't work at Dndadventures.) I "work" there, and there should be some pretty interesting classes you can use as a DM. Most should be well balanced as they go through a rigourous inspection and several revisions before they are put into the netbook, but you might want to check to make sure just in case. You'll have to download the book to access it.

Comments: I arrived here from some IRC search for the spark to revive my gaming feelings. Like you, I started with Vampire and faced down alot of stigma and sterotype when I got into AD&D and all the dozens of others on th shelf. Getting burnt out is painful, true, but worse is having to defend yourself to what should be a fellow gamer. Has this happened to you? Fighting down assumptions because of some system you play? Over the years I've SEEN the worst products of both WW and TSR games. I've seen Vamp run like highschool cheerleader status games, and D&D run like a perverse version of Rambo meets the wizard of oz. We all have. I'm just glad someone else took the time to speak out on these problems. Grants me hope.

And lord save us from IRC freeformers

Comments: You've managed to impress me, Kismet...which isn't easy. You've included well thought out articles, well written reviews and plenty of good tips and suggestions for other DMs. The material you've chosen to dispense seems like it could prove to be a magnificent lauch pad for new DMs as well as a possible epoch for the way experienced DMs run their games.

I'm looking forward to delving deeper into the thus unexplored regions of your writings.

Comments: Very impressive. This is one of the best roleplaying sites I've ever seen. You really understand roleplaying issues, and have a lot of useful stuff to say about them. I wish there were gamers like you in my area. :)

Comments: I appreciate your dedication to the game and to roleplaying. IT's great to see someone like me! But I do think that you might want to reconsider some of your homebrew rules. Your rules on DCs of spells greatly increase the power of casters, while ignoring the rules for flatfootedness hamstrings rogues. Some attention must be paid to the mechanics. But I wish you much happy gaming!
