I was going to leave these pictures out and then found that I couldn't - they form a brief montage across the earlier years of my life. When I get the chance I'll be scanning as many pictures as I can; it's been my desire to put together a family album online for years now. Until then, I think these belong here.

There is something about this picture that has always touched me, though I don't remember having it taken. (I have some memories from around this age, but I don't remember this day.) I look so happy, with the abandon that only children seem to be capable of expressing, standing in that golden sunshine of the earliest years.

This is the ceremony at which I graduated from the ninth grade. I was able to wrestle my hair into looking good that day and I really loved that dress. But if I look a little downcast, it's because I was holding in tears. Yes, I have always been something of a sentimentalist.
This is my tenth grade I.D. picture. Yes, that's a flannel I'm wearing, but it was the mid-90's.

This is my eleventh grade I.D. picture, and that was a pretty good school year, all told.

Ye senior photo. Unlike a lot of other people, my senior year was probably the worst of my high school career. If I ever get to pull a Peggy Sue Got Married, I'm going to dance through those days and probably attend my high school graduation, white robe or no.
