Kismet's Dungeons and Dragons

WAYS YOU CAN HELP THIS SITE

For the most part, this web site is a one-woman show; I write all of the content, do all of the HTML updating, find all of the links, and so on, and I enjoy working on stuff here a great deal.  But it seems that I never have enough time to get everything done here, and I've learned that if you ask for help, sometimes people have aid to give.  There are several areas that I could always use help with and if you can offer a hand, I'd be much obliged.

Books

It seems like a gamer is always in search of books, and I am no exception.  I no longer collect gaming books for the sheer sake of having them, although they can be very nice and satisfying to read.  The books I aim for are ones that I am certain I am going to be able to use in my games.  I look for good quality and usually second-hand, and I keep an ongoing list of things I need.  If you're looking to pass on something I'm in the market for, please let me know.  Since I've had less and less time work on gaming stuff, I tend to rely more and more heavily on published materials.

Art

I very much want people to get a feel for Dungeons and Dragons through this web site, and visual arts are great for showing fantastic places, people, and concepts.  The trouble is, my talent is largely in the written and verbal arts, not the visual, and since I have a tiny budget for web stuff I don't have money to offer for the work of others.  I've managed to find talented people to cover the graphic design for this site over the years through linkware, but finding strong, fantasy-themed pieces isn't always easy.

If you are an artist and you would be willing to give me permission to use some of your fantasy-themed works here, please contact me.  I will never claim that the art work is mine and I will be happy to provide not only credit, but a link back to a web site and/or email address you specify.

Names

I am always on the lookout for interesting names.  I used to collect them from all kinds of sources but I've been so busy that I've fallen out of the habit.  If you know of some neat names and you think they'd fit well in my compendium, please send them my way.

Links

I used to be able to spend a lot more time on the web, just browsing for interesting and useful sites.  And there are a lot of sites out there that can be useful to D&D gamers.  If you have sites that you think might make useful additions to the links page here, feel free to email them.

Feedback

No site is perfect, and I'd like to make this one better.  If you notice any errors, typos, or confusing sentences, let me know about them.  If there are any suggestions that you'd like to make, go for it.  If you have any requests or ideas for future topics, send 'em.  And if you've used anything I've made (like templates or classes), let me know how it turned out.
